A Film & Reflection on the 10th Mountain Division in World War II
Join PBS12 and History Colorado for a screening and panel discussion presented by Bank of America of the film The Last Ridge: The Uphill Battles of the 10th Mountain Division, a film by Abbie Kealy. The Last Ridge documents the remarkable achievements of the group of soldiers whose work in the mountains of Italy not only helped the Allied forces during the Second World War, but also inadvertently changed the history of winter sports.
The panel discussion will be led by Dr. Chris Jurgens, the Anschutz Curator of Military History at History Colorado, and feature reflections and insights about the significance of the 10th Mountain Division within not only our state’s history, but also the nation's.
Guests will enjoy light refreshments and be able to explore History Colorado's Winter Warriors: The 10th Mountain Division in World War II exhibit before the event.
