SPEAKER
Larry Obermesik, a devoted Colorado History Buff and map enthusiast, found his calling in preserving the state's heritage in 2019, after unearthing a collection of gold rush journals that had never been published before. Since then, Larry has immersed himself in researching Southern Colorado's ancient network of Native American trails, and the pre-territorial Claim Clubs in that region. Obermesik enjoys sharing little-known stories about the Cherokee Trail, which he calls Colorado’s forgotten highway.
