In 1988, Trisha Hood started Tree Saver, Inc., a company that made the first reusable canvas bag to obtain a design patent number. Inspiring hundreds of companies across the nation to replicate this act of common sense conservation, the Tree Saver bag was 100% cotton, sustainably sourced, and made in Colorado. History Colorado's collection of Tree Saver includes bags, promotional items, documents about the founding of the company, and so much more. Join us to see the collection in person, meet Trisha, and learn how these bags tell the stories of Colorado environmentalism, entrepreneurship, engineering design, forward thinking, and perseverance.
