Askkanwii: Diasporic Community of Colorado Series #1 - Documentary and Panel Discussion
Askkanwii (ASK~KAN~Wii) means "community" in Wolof, the native dialect of Senegal, and it is what has inspired this partnered event. In close partnership with Askkanwii Film Hub and the Aurora History Museum, we invite you to a special screening of the coming of age story Evalo from Askkanwii Film Hub. This partnership hopes to inspire community, curiosity, and connection among the African diaspora in Colorado. Stay after the film for a panel discussion with the producer and directors of the film. Water, tea, and light snacks will be available.
