Join History Colorado to celebrate the opening of our new exhibition Danielle SeeWalker: But We Have Something to Say, featuring striking nineteenth-century hair ornaments, beaded spoons, and moccasins paired with artist Danielle SeeWalker’s paintings in ways that illuminate censored and erased histories.
Enjoy food, beverages, and an engaging talk with the artist, in addition to the brand new exhibition.
Danielle SeeWalker is a Húŋkpapȟa Lakȟóta citizen from the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. She is an artist, writer, activist, and boymom of two, based in Denver. Danielle SeeWalker: But We Have Something to Say uses storytelling to explore a variety of issues important to Indigenous peoples and communities.
