Printmaking
Printmaking is the process of transferring images from one surface to another. In this fun hands-on class students will be learning the relief and monoprint methods of printmaking to create their own unique prints. Students will have fun experimenting and exploring each technique as they produce their own prints based on their own sketches. They will transfer their sketches onto a linocut block which they will carve and use to make a series of colorful prints. Students will work on both small and large surfaces and for their final piece create a layered print. Throughout the class we will create prints using a variety of materials and techniques. Come have fun in this wonderful class where you will experiment with printing and drawing! Class will take place February 6 through 27. All supplies provided and instructed by Maggie Stewart.
