Mixed Media Series - Introduction to Oil and Cold Wax
Explore the exciting world of creating art with oil and cold wax. Cold wax is uniquely different from encaustic as it provides incredible depth and texture with less setup. In a short period of time, students will learn how to turn accidents into unexpected joys. Aspects of abstract composition and what makes a piece of art “work” will be shared.
Mixed Media Series - Spend a fun filled Saturday discovering the amazing world of mixed media! In this series of workshops experience how to use a variety of materials and techniques to create a work of art. Each workshop will feature a different mixed media technique. Students will be guided on how to work with the materials through the instructor’s engaging and educational teaching style. Aspects of abstract composition and what makes a piece of art “work” will be discussed. Instructor will guide students through “chalk talks,” demos and students will receive lots of individual attention. Mixed Media Series is taught by Candace French and all supplies are provided.
