Join historian Steve Friesen as he unveils the culinary and railroad adventures of William F. ‘Buffalo Bill’ Cody in an engaging presentation based on his latest book, "Galloping Gourmet: Eating and Drinking with Buffalo Bill." Retired from a 40-year museum career, including 22 years as director of the Buffalo Bill Museum and Grave, Friesen offers a unique perspective on Cody's life, from dining with dignitaries to his innovations in the culinary world. This captivating program intertwines the fascinating tales of Buffalo Bill's gastronomic exploits with the pivotal role of railroads in his legendary Wild West spectacle. It’s a story filled with intrigue, excitement, and even a train wreck—with this presentation weaving railroading and gourmand together into a truly “Galloping Gourmet” of a program!
Admission is $20 for Adults, advance reservations strongly suggested. Ages 21+ only. Admission includes 2 beverages of your choice (beer, wine, or soda) and a selection of light snacks.
