Surrounded by Clyfford Still’s expansive body of work, Museum educators will lead participants through the galleries and provide provocations based on art exploration. Your guide will encourage an interactive discussion on the importance of introducing your baby to art at an early age and provide tips for experiencing art together. We encourage you to let your infant explore, follow their lead, and observe what they are drawn to. This is the best foundation for discussing and experiencing the joy of art together!
There are so many connections between art and the natural world around us! In response to our curators of this show (children from the Colville Confederated Tribes in eastern Washington) choosing two of our galleries to reflect their connections of Still’s work to nature, an instructor from Denver Botanic Gardens will join us to explore the intersection of nature and art. We will observe Clyfford Still’s work, both abstract and representational, and play with multisensory materials in the galleries while we introduce infants to these connections and see what other connections might be made!
Space is limited and pre-registration is required (you must purchase a Museum admission ticket or register with your CSM membership during online registration).
