Art Crawl: BIG, BIG Paintings
Surrounded by Clyfford Still’s expansive body of work, Museum educators will lead participants through the galleries and provide provocations based on art exploration. Your guide will encourage an interactive discussion on the importance of introducing your baby to art at an early age and tips for experiencing art together. We encourage you to let your infant explore, follow their lead, and observe what they are drawn to. This is the best foundation for discussing and experiencing the joy of art together!
Clyfford Still became famous for making big, big paintings. We will spend the first half of the program in the galleries exploring size and scale, followed by time outdoors under our cantilever, making our own paintings to create a big group mural!
We encourage all types of exploration and learning! This means that you and your infant might get messier than usual as you explore the paint. We expect and welcome it. We will provide t-shirt smocks for your baby, but please dress in a way that allows you to explore fully!
Space is limited, and pre-registration is required (you must purchase a Museum admission ticket or register with your CSM membership during online registration).
