Mountain Stories Literary Festival September 25–26, 2026 | Center for the Arts Evergreen Presented by Center for the Arts Evergreen & the Jefferson County Library Foundation, Mountain Stories brings our community together through the power of books, storytelling, nature, and creative expression, connecting readers and writers while expanding access to literacy and fostering a shared love of the arts. Originally launched in 2014 as the Rocky Mountain Literary Festival, Mountain Stories returns as a reimagined gathering of readers, writers, poets, and storytellers in the foothills of Evergreen. This two-day literary celebration begins Friday evening with a VIP Happy Hour, offering an intimate opportunity to meet and mingle with our presenting authors over drinks and appetizers. On Saturday, settle in for a full day of stories and conversation featuring author presentations, a collaborative panel, a lunchtime open mic for local writers and poets, and opportunities to purchase books and have them signed. Morning coffee and burritos and a boxed lunch are included with Saturday admission. 2026 Presenting Authors: Megan E.
