Family Fun Day
Celebrating fitness for all ages, this free event Saturday, June 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Carmody Park, 2200 S. Kipling St., emphasizes the vital role that parks and recreation play in building a strong, healthy and resilient community while giving families a chance to play together.
Event Highlights:
• Color run – Race around the course beginning at 12:15 p.m. Be prepared to get messy.
• Local vendors –Purchase a treat from Kona Ice.
• Obstacle course – Ages 10 and under, bring a scooter and helmet to try out the mini-course.
• Play stations – Join water games (bring a towel), parachute play and a gymnastics course.
• Sports and fitness demos – Try Zumba, watch a hip-hop demo or learn pickleball skills.
• Picnic spots - Bring a picnic lunch so you can stick around and enjoy the park.
• Prizes – Visit each station for a chance to win pool passes and other fun rewards.
