The new Museum of Illusions in downtown Denver has some fun, family-friendly activities leading up to Halloween and on Halloween night that would be great to include in any of your current/future holiday articles.
If you haven’t heard about the Museum of Illusions yet, it opened during the last week of September in a 6,200-square-foot space filled with optical illusions. The museum blends selfies with science, offering more than 60 visual and educational exhibits.
Here’s what they have going on for Halloween:
Illusion or Treat (October 26 – October 31):
Every evening from October 26 to Halloween night, the Museum of Illusions will host an “Illusion or Treat” experience that will be included in regular admission prices. Illusion experts will be dressed up in their Halloween best, handing out candy at all of the exhibits. Kids do not have to be dressed up to participate, but they always can! This is a great opportunity to get some fun pictures in costume, especially if parents want to begin their trick-or-treating at the museum on Halloween night. The fun will start at 5 p.m. and conclude at 8 p.m., with special hours on Halloween (see below).
Halloween Magic with Scotty Wiese (October 31):
On Halloween night, the “Illusion or Treat” experience will begin at 3 p.m. and end at 6 p.m., so families can stop at the museum to begin their trick or treating experience. Then, at 7 p.m., Local magician Scotty Wiese will put on a ticketed magic show.
