LambaZouk Fest

LambaZouk Fest is a weekend celebration of the roots, music, movement, and culture of Brazilian Zouk and Lambada. The festival brings together local and visiting dancers, teachers, artists, and DJs for a joyful weekend of workshops, social dancing, community connection, and cultural exchange in downtown Denver. The event welcomes both experienced dancers and people who are completely new to partner dance. Festival programming includes classes at a variety of levels, opportunities to learn about the foundations and evolution of the dance, and social events where participants can practice, connect, and enjoy music together. Community members are also invited to attend a free, beginner-friendly Brazilian Zouk class on Saturday from 8:00–9:00 p.m. at 11th Avenue Hostel. No partner or previous dance experience is required. Participants can come on their own, bring a friend, and learn some of the basic movements and connection principles of Brazilian Zouk in a welcoming environment. The free class will be taught by Pedro and Ana, visiting artists from Brazil. Afterward, participants are welcome to continue the evening at the nearby festival party. The venues are located within a short walk of one another in Denver’s Golden Triangle neighborhood. LambaZouk Fest centers the roots and lineage of Lambada while also celebrating the community and creativity that have shaped Brazilian Zouk. The weekend is designed to offer meaningful learning, playful connection, and an opportunity for dancers of different backgrounds and experience levels to share the floor. As part of the festival, the community is invited to attend a free beginner-friendly Brazilian Zouk class on Saturday from 8:00–9:00 PM at 11th Avenue Hostel, followed by social dancing nearby. No partner or prior dance experience is required.
