Acting Up presents "The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical" May 31-Jun 2 at Mason HighSchool

You read the best-selling books, you saw the Disney Channel series, now see it LIVE on stage with a cast of over 50 talented young actors and a live orchestra! "The Lightning Thief; The Percy Jackson Musical" tells the story of a 12-year-old boy with ADHD and dyslexia who has newly-discovered powers he can't control. When Percy Jackson finds that he is the half-blood son of a Greek god, he finds a destiny he doesn't want, and a mythology textbook's worth of monsters on his trail. When Zeus's master lightning bolt is stolen and Percy becomes the prime suspect, he has to find and return the bolt to prove his innocence and prevent a war between the gods. But to succeed on his quest, Percy will have to do more than catch the thief. He must travel to the Underworld and back; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of betrayal by a friend; and come to terms with the father who abandoned him. Featuring a thrilling original rock score, ​"The Lightning Thief" is a fun energetic ride through school, quests and the United States. Acting Up's production includes over 50 talented actors from across the Cincinnati area. Acting Up presents "The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical" Four shows will be held over one weekend at the Mason High School Theater: (6100 Mason-Montgomery Road, Mason OH 45040)   ● Friday, May 31st at 7:00 pm ● Saturday, June 1st at 2:00 pm (sign-language interpreter will be provided) ● Saturday, June 1st at 7:00 pm  ● Sunday, June 2nd at 2:00 pm  Tickets are on sale now for reserved seating and are only $15. Tickets can be purchased online at ActingUp.com or in-person one hour before each performance at the box office (Mason High School Theater). Group sales are available for groups of 10 or more attending the same performance at a discounted rate of $12 per ticket.
