Acting Up's Auditions for "Disney's Camp Rock the musical" will be on Monday June 17 and Tuesday, June 18, 6:20-9pm with callbacks on Thursday June 20 (for select actors). Actors age 6-18 (and still in high school) are invited to audition. Auditions will be held in Mason.
Show Info: Based on the hit Disney Channel movies, two bands battle it out in a rockin' summer they will never forget. A classic story of rivalry and power, "Disney's Camp Rock The Musical" opens with Mitchie and her friends arriving at Camp Rock, ready to spend another summer jamming out and having the time of their lives. But the new, flashy Camp Star across the lake now threatens Camp Rock's very existence. To keep the doors open, Mitchie steps up, rallies her fellow Camp Rockers and gets them into top shape for the ultimate showdown! This large ensemble, high-energy show will fire up the stage with over a dozen songs, including "This Is Me," "Can't Back Down," "It's On" and "We Rock."

What to prepare and bring:
Song: Be prepared to perform 32 measures (no longer than 1 minute) of any song that highlights your voice.
Monologue: You should perform a monologue no longer than 1 minute that demonstrates your acting ability.
Dress to dance. A short piece of choreography will be taught and performed as part of the audition process.
Audition Form and Recent Photo.
Schedule: Rehearsals will begin July 8, and are expected to be Monday-Thursday 6:30-9:00pm and Sundays 2:00-5:00pm. Not all actors will be called to every rehearsal. Performances will be Sept 20-22 at the Mason High School Theater.
Who's Directing?: Acting Up's Fall Musical will be directed by Dirk Doebereiner, with Assistant Director Brent Peebles. Music Direction by Kyle Heimbrock. Choreography by Leah Major and Emma Jobert.
