Get ready for a fun-filled morning of hands-on discovery and innovation at our Science Summer Day Camp—perfect for curious kids who love to explore the world around them!
🔬 Featured Session:
🦷 Creature Features – Presented by the Perot Museum
Why do animals have teeth, fur, feathers, paws, or claws? What do these features help them do? In this interactive station-based program, students will explore the amazing physical features of animals. They’ll sort, compare, and creatively imagine how animals survive and thrive using their natural adaptations.
🛠️ Bonus STEM Challenges:
After exploring animal adaptations, students will dive into three exciting engineering activities:
Engineering a Prosthetic Hand – Design a model that mimics real-life function.
Building a Simple Catapult – Explore motion, force, and accuracy in action.
Engineering a Bridge – Learn about balance and weight distribution while building a functional structure.
Each challenge is designed to spark creativity, promote critical thinking, and inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers.
