Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure
This is a timed 5K race with 1-mile walking option to raise money and awareness for Breast Cancer Research.
Participants will gather as a community to race.
There will be a stage for a band and sponsor tents for participants to engage with.
We will also have water and packaged snacks onsite.
Breast Cancer survivors are invited to join the Hope Village enclosure, and top fundraisers are invited to the VIP tent
Susan G. Komen wants to honor those special to you at the Dallas North Texas Race for the Cure on Saturday, October, 19. All teams who’ve raised a specific amount by Sunday, September 29th will have their “why” displayed on signs and banners around the walk.
Raise $2,500 to get the name of the person you walk for on the “I Walk For” banner in our event day area.
Raise $5,000 to get the name of the person you walk for on a sign in our event day area.
Raise $7,500 to get the name and picture of the person you walk for on a sign in our event day area.
Deadline for fundraising is Sunday, September 29th. Teams and individuals that raise the designated amounts will be contacted by a member of the Komen North Texas team on Wednesday, October 2nd to inform them of qualification. Teams and individuals are responsible for getting their names and/or pictures to Komen staff
