Yoga Nidra
Derived from two Sanskrit words, yoga meaning yolk/union, and nidra meaning sleep. During Yoga Nidra, one appears to be asleep, but the consciousness functions at a deeper level of awareness. Yoga Nidra is a process by which one can travel from the conscious to the unconscious through the subconscious, planting seeds for positive change.
Yoga Nidra is a Pratyahara practice where one withdraws awareness from external sources. Much like guided Savasana, the experience is received in such a way the body is relaxed, and the mind is clear, open to receive seeds to be planted and fertilized in the subconscious.
