Author Bill McCurry
Bill McCurry is the author of the dark fantasy series Death’s Collector and its follow-up series The Sorcerer of Bad Examples. His books would be rated G for lack of sex, PG-13 for bad language, and R for violence and sarcasm. They are geared towards adults who have had adult-type experiences such as grappling with self-identity, dealing with grief, and stabbing people with a sword for reasons that turn out not to be as clear-cut as they thought.
He was born in Fort Worth, Texas and earned his degrees the University of Texas at Arlington, where he learned that nobody is under any obligation to teach you anything, and that includes professors. He concluded that he had to be ready to learn things on his own or remain ignorant.
Bill has worked at many different things, from construction to market research to working on software projects for the National Cancer Institute. He had a job in which he literally was expected to go places with the president of the company and tell him when he did something wrong. That was a great job.
Bill lives in Dallas, Texas with five cats and his wife, a woman so determined that she’d always be able to kill him if it came down to a knife fight.
