The group embraces the sound of the Andean quena, zampoña flutes, and the Romanian nai. The Pan-Tones exemplify the diversity and cultural cross-pollination that is ever-present in Texas music. Additionally, they play lively renditions of some of the most well-known pieces of music from Brazil, Italy, Mexico, and Japan. They do opera, they do corridos, and yes, they play jazz standards as cumbias featuring the pedal steel guitar!
