Writing Workshop: Writing through the apocalypse
Political strife, grief, loneliness, health challenges, fear, loss, frustration: the past few years have had all the plot twists of a bad fiction. Maybe you’ve felt stuck and unable to write at all. Or maybe you’ve managed to write, but it’s as uninspired as your aunt’s Facebook posts.
In this interactive class, licensed professional counselor, novelist and fellow human being Heather Harper Ellett will help you build a first aid kit for maintaining creativity through difficult times, including tips and exercises inspired by narrative therapy, neuropsychology and popular novels dealing with dark topics. We will focus on transforming difficulties into creative output, but also look at creativity as a revolutionary act of hope.
