On Monday, January 16, 2023 from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, drive-thru the West Parking Lot at the Coppell Arts Center to drop off your gently used shoes and clothing. Soles4Souls accepts all styles and sizes of new or gently-worn shoes and clothing.

About Soles4Souls: In developing countries, it's difficult to escape poverty because long-term work is scarce. Soles4Souls partners with community-based nonprofit organizations in developing countries to help people start and grow businesses that sell donated shoes and clothing.

About our sponsor: The Coppell Community Chorale (CCC) is a volunteer-based, non-profit arts organization. As one of Coppell's oldest community organizations, the Chorale enriches and educates the Coppell community by demonstrating outstanding leadership in the performance and preservation of choral music. We are comprised of residents of Coppell and surrounding areas. CCC presents two themed concerts per year, Fall and Spring, at the Coppell Arts Center.  CCC also has a Holiday Concert in December and a Community Concert in February, at varied locations in Coppell.

About MLK Day of Service: The Martin Luther King, Jr., National Day of Service is a defining moment each year when Americans across the country step up to make communities more equitable and take action to create the Beloved Community of Dr. King's dream. While Dr. King believed the Beloved Community was possible, he acknowledged and fought for systemic change. His example is our call to action.

MLK Day is the only federal holiday designated as a National Day of Service to encourage all Americans to volunteer to improve their communities. During the last quarter-century, the MLK Day of Service has grown, and its impact increased as more Americans embraced the idea that citizenship involves taking an active role in improving communities.
