Cesar Chavez and Delores Huerta March and Celebration - Fort Worth
PEACEFUL MARCH
10 a.m. Downtown Main St
-A peaceful group of people and community organizations will march will walk-march in honor of two great humanitarians the late Cesar Chavez who dedicated his life to the 'la causa' (the cause) and Delores Huerta who continues her efforts towards civil rights.
ROUTE
The march will begin at the General Worth Square, 900 Main St. and end at the Tarrant County Courthouse on 100 E Weatherford about a mile in distance.
YOU ARE INVITED TO JOIN US
-all peaceful organizations and all people are welcomed to join in on our march for justice. "Yes, we can."
Bring your love and leave your hate.
Carry your banners, carry your signs.
Please, just show up by 9:45 a.m. to join in on the march.
If you can't walk with us, cheer us on along the route and join us after for a reception.
RECEPTION
Artes de La Rosa Center, 1440 North Main St.
-A reception with food and refreshments will follow after the march
A SONG FOR CESAR
-Complimentary screenings of
A Song for Cesar, a documentary on Cesar Chavez highlighting the many artists and musicians that helped Cesar with his life long civil rights cause.
Please, bring your friends and family out to these events and to recognize and honor the achievements of so many extraordinary people.
