Lunch and Learn with David Downs
Join ArtCentre Executive Director Suzy Jones in an interactive discussion with photographer David Downs at the ArtCentre's popular Lunch and Learn series. Beverages and deserts will be provided. This event is free for ArtCentre members, guests $10.00.
David is a Plano based artist who uses a camera to gather the raw material for his creative images. Selected by the ArtCentre of Plano as its 2018 Artist of The Year, he continues to grow and explore new techniques of expression utilizing a colorful style and unique perspectives on the world around him. Also, a passionate educator, David leads workshops around the country and speaks to photography groups about The Artist Within.
Whether gathering his raw data in the wild, on the streets, or even in his backyard, he looks for content that present life in memorable fashion. His new coffee table book, A Voice Expressed, is a collection of his images representing the first ten years of his photography journey.
