Artistic expression has appeared in many guises throughout Mead's lifetime including ceramics, mosaics, quilting, designing clothing, collages and handmade books. Favorite artists include the still-life paintings of Cezanne and the Dutch Masters as well as contemporary artists such as Mary Fedden from the U.K., an Instagram find.
The Canadian magazine “Uppercase” has published some of her collages in the current issue. The theme is domestic arts, interpreted broadly and playfully. See https://uppercasemagazine.com/ current issue, p. 75. “Most of all,” Mead said, “I hope my exhibit underscores that painting is fun. Color and texture are goals and you can paint what you like how you like it.”
