The Cup's open entry process allows for US amateur teams to compete against US professional teams. SRFC's men's team seeks to qualify again for the 2027 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup tournament proper. This will be the 112th edition of the US Open Cup.
The qualifying process includes 155 amateur clubs in 29 states. Only 16 spots are available in the tournament proper.
