Saturday, October 18, 2025, San Ramon Marriott Child Advocates of Contra Costa County (formerly known as CASA) has helped transform the lives of countless children and youth in the foster care and juvenile justice systems. With the support of dedicated volunteer advocates, younger people are building stronger, more hopeful futures, achieving meaningful outcomes such as finding permanent families, graduating high school, maintaining employment, and securing stable housing. Join us for powerful stories, moving moments, and an unforgettable celebration featuring keynote speaker Josh Shipp, ABC7’s Dan Ashley, and host Joy Ofodu. Our Special guest is Josh Shipp, a former foster youth, best-selling author, and renowned advocate for young people. Once told he'd never succeed, Josh beat the odds thanks to a handful of caring adults who changed his life. Today, he shares his story to inspire others to become that caring adult in a young person's life. Named to Inc. Magazine's "30 Under 30" and a graduate of Harvard, Josh has spoken to more than two million people worldwide and has been featured by Oprah, CNN, and Good Morning America. His message-delivered with heart and humor-reminds us that every child is one caring adult away from becoming a success story.
