12th Annual Hog August Bites Returns to Downtown Rio Vista on August 22, 2026
RIO VISTA, Calif. — The 12th Annual Hog August Bites will bring a full day of food, music, classic vehicles, family activities and community fun to downtown Rio Vista on Saturday, August 22, 2026 beginning at 10am.
Presented by RioVision and the City of Rio Vista, Hog August Bites is a signature summer celebration featuring a Rib and Chili Cook-off, People’s Choice tastings, live entertainment, Vendor Village, a car show and kid-friendly attractions. The event draws families, food lovers, music fans and car enthusiasts to Main Street and the downtown waterfront area for a day that highlights local flavor, community spirit and Delta hospitality.
Organizers are encouraging competitors, car owners and vendors to sign up now. There is still space available for rib and chili contestants, and car show entries are still being accepted. Vendor spaces are filling quickly, so craft vendors, informational booths and nonprofit organizations are urged to reserve their spots as soon as possible.
“Hog August Bites is one of Rio Vista’s favorite community traditions, and this year’s event is shaping up to be another exciting celebration,” organizers said. “Whether you want to compete, show a vehicle, volunteer, sponsor, volunteer or simply come out and enjoy the day, there is still time to be part of the fun.”
