Walk it Shop It | Crockett, CA
On Aug 15th, a tiny historic waterfront town is reinventing itself through independent retail. Every third Saturday in Crockett, visitors can walk from shop to shop meeting artists, designers, vintage dealers, makers, and guest vendors, all while collecting signatures for a town-wide raffle.
This month's featured vendor at Monarch Store is Peter Hansen.
For decades, Peter has been carefully handcrafted one-of-a-kind kaftans and tunics from extraordinary vintage textiles from around the world, giving every piece its own history and personality. No two are ever alike. Before that, he designed custom latex fashions in Los Angeles and also contributed to the iconic "Catwoman" costume worn by Michelle Pfeiffer.
So treat yourself to a fun day trip, Saturday, August 15, from 12–5pm, discovering everything Crockett has to offer by picking up a raffle map, visiting each location to collect signatures, then turning in your completed map for a chance to win a prize package featuring gifts from every participating business. One lucky winner takes home the entire collection.
