Cheers for Chairs: Family-Friendly Fun to Benefit Arts Programming
Join DKW Productions, Synergy Theater, and Headlands Brewing this Veterans Day for a celebration of community, family fun, and giving back! “Cheers for Chairs,” an afternoon of food, craft beers, games, and entertainment for children, will raise funds for the Sponsor a Seat Program, which increases inclusion by providing free or discounted event tickets to those who would benefit from access to the arts.
With schools closed on Monday, November 11, this free event invites families and friends to relax, enjoy an open-air beer garden, and connect with the community. Donations to the Sponsor a Seat Program are encouraged but not required. Headlands Brewing has generously pledged to donate a portion of their proceeds to support the cause. Expect improv games, face painting, balloon art, dancing, and more family-friendly activities—and for those who need to work remotely, Wi-Fi is available on-site!
What is the Sponsor a Seat Program?
The Sponsor a Seat Program is dedicated to enriching lives by providing access to arts events for underserved members of the community, including young artists, veterans, and seniors. The program includes mentorship opportunities, workshops, and introductions to creative leaders, helping to build a more vibrant and inclusive future. Through the support of our donors, we’re empowering people to feel more connected, inspired, and engaged through the arts.
About the Event
Entertainment: Synergy Theater director Kenn Adams and performer Elyse Lovino will lead free and fun improv and movement classes for children; free face-painting and balloon artistry will be provided by Pacific Face Painters.
Food and Drinks: Headlands Brewing sells craft beer, wine, cider, kombucha, sodas, iced lemonade, and hearty food options like smash burgers, loaded sausages, vegan options, and kids’ favorites. A portion of their proceeds will be donated to the Sponsor a Seat Program.
Venue: A dog- and family- friendly indoor-outdoor space with kid-friendly activities and treats for furry friends. It is locally owned and operated, eco-friendly, wheelchair accessible, and ADA compliant.
