Join us for Part 2 of the Alzheimer's Association 4-part Dementia Family Caregiver Education Series entitled "EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION STRATEGIES" on Thursday, May 16, from 10-11:30 am at the Novato Community Center.
Communication is more than just talking and listening – it’s also about sending and receiving messages through attitude, tone of voice, facial expressions and body language. Caregivers will learn to decode behavioral messages and identify strategies to help them connect. The Hummingbird Project will be joining us to explore personalized therapeutic activities to enrich quality of life for those experiencing memory loss (from early to late stages).
