CHRISTMAS in BETHLEHEM

Grace Church of Napa Valley will be holding its second annual CHRISTMAS in BETHLEHEM event this year on three evenings: Friday through Sunday, December 1-3 from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM. It is a live outdoor walkthrough depiction of Bethlehem at the time of Christ’s birth. Church members in period costume will be portraying shopkeepers, shepherds, money changers, a rabbi, a blacksmith and more. A garrison of Roman soldiers will patrol the streets, stand guard at the massive front gate, or maybe throw miscreants in jail. A Bethlehem Nativity scene, a Synagogue, a choir, a live animal paddock with sheep, donkeys, goats as well as camels are all part of the evening’s demonstration. Included is a special booth for children to make crafts and buy gifts for parents. Visitors will also be able to purchase food. Grace Church wants to show Napa and the Bay Area what the first Christmas was like, and to proclaim that we have been blessed by the Son of God coming into the world, living and sacrificing His life as our blessed Hope of Salvation to all who believe in Him.
