Soroptimist of Napa is dedicated to helping women and girls improve their lives through access to education, vocational training, opportunity for growth, and moral support from their local community. Lobsterfest is their largest fundraiser of the year and benefits a variety of local programs.
This is Soroptimist’s 20th year hosting Lobsterfest, and the club sees this milestone as an important time to celebrate the growing generosity of the Napa community as well as the positive strides made by the remarkable women and girls who have connected with Soroptimist resources.
Twenty years ago, the club provided just over ten thousand dollars of grants annually, but thanks to the loyal support of friends and neighbors over the years, Soroptimist of Napa continues to expand grant programs and now provides more than thirty thousand dollars of support annually.
The Lobsterfest event began 20 years ago with an enthusiastic band of families who lovingly did all the cooking and serving on their own. These days Napa Valley Lobster Company wows attendees with a hearty traditional Lobster Boil featuring a whole lobster for each guest, plus prawns, artichokes, potatoes and corn. The Napa Soroptimist team organizes a Dessert Auction Extravaganza featuring local female Chefs, and friends and family volunteer to serve beverages for all ages.
It’s a fabulously fun evening filled with great food and drinks, a lively wine toss, amazing silent and live auction items, lots of chances to win terrific prizes, and music for all.
Come and enjoy an exciting night out, while supporting local women and girls with access to resources that help them reach their full potential and live their dreams! Purchase tickets at soroptimistnapa.org by October 12th.
