Thirty-seven young Bay Area performers are about to make Pleasanton the most dramatic city in the East Bay. The Pleasanton Youth Theater Company (PYTC), in affiliation with the City of Pleasanton, is proud to bring Mean Girls: The Musical (High School Edition) to life on the Firehouse Arts Center stage, running from July 31st through August 8th. Directed by local performing arts director Mathew Glynn, this production celebrates and honors the source material, reimagining Tina Fey’s world as even more high camp, high comedy, and high stakes while letting our youth performers bring their unique perspectives and talent to the stage.
The production features two distinct casts, the Fetch Cast and the Schquillz Cast, each performing a full three-show run of the production. The six-person creative team—consisting of director Mathew Glynn, choreographer Makenna Faddis, co-stage managers and vocal directors Kalia Miller and Briana Marquez, orchestral director and choreographer Sky Nudelman, and costume designer Cora Cahill—is working tirelessly to bring the production to life.
