They can describe societal-tribal-family roles, responsibilities, relations, history, important events, legends, myths, the cycles of life and death, nature and the cosmos. Totems can simply be aesthetically pleasing without a specific purpose. This event is hosted by Falkirk Cultural Center, 1408 Mission Ave, San Rafael, and is open Tuesday -Friday 1:00-4:00 and Saturday 10:00-2:00. There will be a free opening night reception on March 8th from 5:00-7:30.
