From its beginnings in the 1800's when faced with challenges such as cattle rustling and the likes of outlaw Joaquin Murietta, to the antiwar demonstrations, kidnappings, and natural disasters of the 20th century, the Alameda County Sheriff's Office has always been ready to respond. Using archival photographs and documents, historian Steve Minniear will bring the past to life during this presentation.

About our speaker:
City of Dublin historian Steve Minniear serves on the board of the Dublin Historical Society and volunteers at Dublin's Heritage Park and Museum. He has published several books focused on the history of the Tri-Valley, including Alameda County Sheriff’s Office; Dublin and the Tri-Valley: The World War II Years; and Dublin, California: A Brief History.
