NAPA VALLEY DISTILLERY & CIA COPIA PRESENTS: THE IRON SHAKER Cocktail Competition Experience the thrill of the ultimate cocktail showdown! Watch as top mixologists battle it out for the prestigious title of THE IRON SHAKER and a spectacular $1000 grand prize! Join us on Thursday August 22nd as Napa Valley Distillery takes over the CIA Copia’s Chuck Williams Culinary Arts Museum to crown the best of the best of Northern California Cocktails! Who will compete? Who will win? Who will YOU choose? We're taking our favorite parts of Chopped, Top Chef and of course THE IRON CHEF and combining them with our love & passion for fine cocktails to craft one of the most unique cocktail competitions in the North Bay! Six or more contestants will be hand selected by the Napa Valley Distillery's award winning head mixologist Kyle Peete! Contestants will come from the Napa Valley and all across the North Bay! Together the contestants will vie for the top prize of $1000 and the title of THE IRON SHAKER! Second place will win $350! In addition to the top prize, we will also have a People Choice competition where YOU & the rest of the audience will choose the winner! You will sample drinks from the finest bars & bartenders in the area and choose which one you think is the real winner! People's Choice will have a chance to win $350 and bragging rights! The Iron Shaker will be hosted by Emmy award winning journalist, former professional baseball player and winemaker: Adam Housley of Housley Napa Valley wines! Judges will include Anthony Attanasio (Director of Spirits for Boisset Collection), Eduardo Dingler (Journalist), Damon Boelte (Grand Army Bar NYC, Speakeasy Podcast) & Tamera Mowry-Housley(Actress & Emmy award winning talk show host)!DJ Rotten Robbie will provide the music! This event was originally scheduled to take place inside the Napa Valley Distillery’s production facilities and events space. However on July 22nd, there was a fire at the warehouse caused by a freak accident on Highway 29. The fire caused a significant amount of damage to our warehouse & bar. Chuck William Culinary Arts Museum at CIA at COPIA 500 1st St, Napa, CA 94559 Tickets to the event will include a free welcome beverage, free drink tasters of the People's Choice Competition's cocktails, Snacks from the CIA Copia, and you will have a chance to be front and center as we crown the next IRON SHAKER! The competition will take place in the Chuck Williams Culinary Arts Museum, located on the second floor of the Culinary Art Institute - Copia in Downtown Napa. 500 1st St, Napa, CA 94559. The museum is located on the second floor of the COPIA. Please follow the signs to the event once you enter the building. The Main competition will consist of three rounds of competition. Each round will have its own theme and ingredients for the competitors to choose from. Judging the competition will be a collection of local celebrities, personalities and cocktail connoisseurs will rate and vote on each round of cocktails. The bottom competitors of each round will be eliminated. The winner of the final round will win the coveted IRON SHAKER & $1000 cash prize. Second place will receive $350. The People's Choice Competition will take place alongside the cocktail competition! It will include passive samples from each of the competing mixologists. Guests will vote on their favorite cocktail creations and choose the People Choice Champion of the Iron Shaker. People's Choice winner will receive a $350 cash prize. Contestants will be announced the week of August 15th.
