Join us for jazz at the Library! Shanna and Hugo will take you on a journey with their original music and beloved American Standards.
SF native and Castro Valley resident, Shanna Carlson is a celebrated jazz vocalist and pianist known for her soulful style and warm, expressive voice. She has performed across the Northwest and Europe, and graced top stages including SFJAZZ and the Stanford & San Jose Jazz Festivals. With four acclaimed CDs, Shanna is also a passionate music educator, having taught at Jazz Camp West & California Conservatory of Jazz.
Born in Argentina, Hugo Wainzinger was raised in a musically rich home. A gifted guitarist, composer, and arranger, Hugo’s music reflects a lifelong love for classical, jazz, Latin, and world traditions. His dynamic style and expressive playing have made him a sought-after performer across the Bay Area and beyond. He has appeared at premier venues and events, including the prestigious San Francisco Jazz Festival.
This program is in the Chabot Room, it's FREE, and no reservations are required.
