Caldwell Snyder Gallery presents 2nd Skin, a solo exhibition of new works by Brazilian artist Marta Penter.
Through highly detailed monochromatic paintings, Penter examines the boundaries between reality and illusion, observer and observed, and interior and exterior worlds. Windows and reflective surfaces become visual and psychological thresholds, layering figures with architecture, fashion, and fragments of contemporary life.
