In Kate Hamill’s witty and wildly theatrical adaptation of Sense and Sensibility, Jane Austen’s beloved Dashwood sisters navigate love, heartbreak, and social scandal in Regency-era England—with a modern comedic twist. When their family fortune is suddenly lost, sensible Elinor and passionate Marianne must rely on cunning, courage, and each other to find happiness. Bursting with gossip, gallantry, and gloriously giddy romance, Hamill’s fast-paced, inventive take on Austen’s classic is a heartfelt romp that delights both die-hard fans and newcomers alike.

Performances will run from March 13-22, 2026 at the Las Positas College Black Box Theater, located at 3000 Campus Hill Drive, Building 4000, Livermore, CA.
Schedule:
Jan 20 - March 4 Mon/Tues/Wed 7PM-10PM (Rehearsals)
March 9 - 12 Mon/Tues/Wed 5PM-10PM (Tech Rehearsals)
March 13-22 Fri/Sat 7PM & Sun 2pm (Performances)
March 22 5pm - 10pm (Strike)
**Note: Cast members will be required to enroll in THEA47 (a/b/c or d) (3 Units) at Las Positas College in Livermore, CA (Approx $150). Scholarships available for demonstrated need. Enrollment must be completed before Jan 30, 2026.
