Back pOrchEstra is a mostly acoustic genre-busting, or more accurately ...genre-fusing band, blending their own influences together to manifest what might be their own musical landscape. They draw from new original material as well as reworked classics by Taj Mahal, Dan Hicks, Big Bill Broonzy, Bob Wills, Bobby Charles, Fats Waller, Hank Williams, Albert Lee and Commander Cody & His LPA.
..Celebrating the single "Dusty Road I'm On." See the video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jj0IIkUyrE4 or choose your music service to hear it: https://orcd.co/4n4kmpr
The "Voices In My Head" (Genre Whiplash) album made the Top 100 Albums of list at Alt. Country Specialty Chart (dedicated to KFAT. KPIG and Laura Ellen Hopper) ...choose your music service: https://orcd.co/dw640r4
"It's one fine album" - Ben Fong-Torres (Rolling Stone, KSAN DJ, "Almost Famous")
"...so well crafted as Mr. Eschliman has assembled a wonderful cast of Bay Area musicians to achieve this downhome sound... a very timely reminder of how rich the musical community of the San Francisco Bay Area is. With Voices in My Head (Genre Whiplash) Tim Eschliman certainly demonstrates a mastery of many musical genres that provides a roadmap of classic Americana music with this fine new record" -J C Flyer
"... has roots in country and blues but zigzags all over the musical map, evokes artists from multiple decades over the last century and embraces everything from indie-rock and Americana to Celtic, Motown, and Western swing. If you need a reference point, look to Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks and Asleep at the Wheel, whose records also draw on disparate sources." - Jeff Burger, Americana Highways, TheAquarian.com
"...everything from alt. rock to cajun, to country, to Brownie Ford-era Western Swing. But the thing that keeps this set together is their excellent songwriting full of smooth never-miss-a-beat lines and vivid imagery. It's a studio album but it sure does have a back porch jam band feel to it" - Calvin Powers, americanamusicshow.com, WHUP-FM (4 songs in rotation)
