Back by popular demand, this will be his fifth appearance in the Bankhead, on the beautiful Steinway he selected for the Bankhead. Since winning the Gold Medal at the 1997 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition while teaching German in Mountain View, Nakamatsu tours year-round working with leading conductors and orchestras, and appears in recital and chamber collaborations worldwide. His sublime program will include works by Bach, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Liszt and Chopin. Tickets begin at $35. Students under 18 are free (an accompanying adult is $20 when obtained ...
