Friends of the Castro Valley Library Book Sale
The Friends of the Castro Valley Library will hold an indoor book sale July 31 - August 2, 2026. Days and times are as follows:
Friday July 31st 6 to 8 p.m. Member Preview
Saturday August 1st 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday August 2nd 1 to 4 p.m. Bag Day - fill a standard grocery bag for $5.
We have all types of books and media available: fiction, mystery, nonfiction, children's books, DVDs, music CDs, games, jigsaw puzzles, and more. Most books are $1 or less. Children's books are 25 cents. We will have a selection of antiquarian and special price books available at slightly higher, but still bargain, prices. Please remember to bring your reusable bags, as we will not have bags available other than Bag Day. Cash, checks, and credit/debit cards accepted. Proceeds pay for library programs and amenities that would not otherwise be available. If you have any questions, please visit the Friends' website or call the bookstore office at 510-733-3285.
