More than 300 million people in the world are affected by a rare disease. Rare is everywhere. As a Rare Disease Center of Excellence, Nationwide Children's is a trusted medical home where patients with rare diseases and their families come to find answers.
Join us for 6th annual Rare Diseases Day at Nationwide Children's Hospital to raise awareness and support our patient and families affected by them.
The program will include a patient panel, advocacy panel, and exhibits. The keynote address will be about the patient-researcher partnership in the discovery of a rare disease. This address will feature Helen Su, MD, PhD the Chief of Human Immunological Diseases Section at National Institutes of Health and Whitney Ward, the first person to be diagnosed with MAGIS.
