    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 30, 2024 - 1PM-5PM Saturday STOP THE ABUSE: COMMUNITY EVENT TO RAISE AWARENESS [Columbus, Ohio] - On March 30th, 2024, from 1 PM to 5 PM, the community will come together to raise awareness and take a stand against abuse. Hosted by The Forgotten Ones in Ohio, this event aims to shed light on the insidious nature of abuse and its detrimental effects on our children and society. Under the theme "Watch out for the ABUSERS SUGAR AND SALT LOOK alike, what SHINE is not GOLD," the event highlights the importance of recognizing and addressing abuse in all its forms. Whether it's physical, emotional, or psychological, abuse leaves scars that may not always be visible but are deeply impactful. "We must stop traumatizing our children," says Valencia Muhammad. "Hurt people hurt people, and it's time to break this cycle of abuse. Our children deserve a safe and nurturing environment to grow and thrive." The event will feature a variety of activities aimed at engaging both children and adults, including: Mime performances, and Live Performance by Johnny Tyrone Stringfield National Recording Artist. Face art to promote self-expression and positivity Music to uplift spirits and spread awareness Raffle tickets for exciting prizes, with proceeds going towards supporting victims of abuse Refreshments and snacks for attendees to enjoy while participating in the event In line with the message of the event, attendees are encouraged to take a stand against abuse and help create a safer community for all. By coming together and raising our voices, we can make a difference and put an end to the silence surrounding abuse.
