Tesia’s Tailgate
Tesia (Dhiraprasiddhi) Moore was a long-time Hilliard resident, 2008 graduate of Hilliard Darby Highschool, and teacher at Gahanna. Unfortunatley Tesia passed away in 2023 after a long battle with colorectal cancer. Tesia was a kind, loving person who gave herself fully to everything she loved. Her faith was the foundation of all she did, her family her greatest joy, and in the classroom she poured her heart into every student whose life she had the privilege to touch.
This community tailgate event will include welcome & family remarks, fundraising activities, raffle & silent auction, community grilling & food, socializing & connection, and honoring Tesia's memory. All funds raised at this event will stay in our community and will go directly to supporing families impacted by colorectal cancer.
Tesia made people feel seen, loved, and never alone. Tesia’s Tailgate was built to carry on her legacy of kindness and love and to connect young adults and their families with the care and support they need from diagnosis, through treatment, and beyond, at no cost to the family. The first year’s goal is to raise $25,000, and a founding member has pledged to match donations dollar-for-dollar, up to $5,000 — doubling your gift in Tesia's honor.
