8th Annual 5K9 Run
On Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Breck Community Park in Grove City, the 8th Annual 5K9 will bring the community together to support our local dog rescue, Speak! for the Unspoken, a nonprofit dedicated to rescuing and advocating for special needs animals, particularly double merle dogs with hearing and vision impairments.
This year, participants can choose between two exciting routes:
🐾Speedy Paws Path - A non-stop route for runners
🍻Pints & Paws Path Featuring stops at local businesses offering 5K specials, with a portion of the proceeds donated to support Speak! for the Unspoken’s life-saving mission
Dogs are encouraged to join, with water stations and a dog park available. Help us continue our work by bringing donations in the form of gift cards, all of which will go directly toward helping animals in need.
Participants will sign up for a specific starting time slot during online registration HERE. Shirt and map pickup will take place at a designated location on Friday, October 4, and Saturday, October 5. Exact details will be emailed closer to the event date.

About Speak! for the Unspoken:
Speak! for the Unspoken is a registered 501(c)(3) pet rescue based in Columbus, Ohio. Our organization is 100% foster-based and deeply committed to rescuing and advocating for special needs animals, with a special focus on double merle dogs who are often born with vision and/or hearing impairments due to poor breeding practices.
