Columbus Covers Columbus
On September 5, Columbus musicians will take over PromoWest’s A&R Music Bar and The Basement for the 5th Annual Columbus Covers Columbus, a music festival built around a concept you won’t find at a typical local showcase: Columbus and surrounding area artists covering the music of other Columbus artists.
This year’s theme, “The Future of Music,” takes that mission a step further.
Columbus Covers Columbus has always been about breaking down barriers within the local music scene—bringing artists, fans, venues, businesses, and different corners of the music community together to celebrate one another. Whether the song being covered belongs to an established Columbus act or an artist still building an audience, the message is the same: local music matters, and artists are stronger when they support each other.
For our fifth year, we're also looking beyond the stage and asking an important question: How do we help musicians build careers that actually last?
The festival will feature a mentor table staffed by experienced artists and music professionals, giving musicians a place to ask real-world questions about navigating the industry, growing their careers, and sustaining themselves as working artists.
Local vendors will also be part of the event, making Columbus Covers Columbus more than a series of performances—it’s a gathering of the broader creative community.
