Kick off to Summer Celebration
The Ohio State Parks Foundation and premier sponsors Perry’s Ice Cream and Triad Architects will celebrate the 75th anniversary of Ohio State Parks by serving a special birthday cake flavored ice cream at the third annual Kick-off to Summer fundraising event that will take place on Thursday, June 20 at the Alum Creek State Park marina.
The evening's festivities include live music by Bill Foley, hors d'oeuvres, and drinks. Governor Bob Taft (1999-2007), chair of the Ohio State Parks Foundation and ODNR leadership will be speaking about the news of the foundation and Ohio State Parks.
Perry’s Ice Cream, in partnership with the Ohio State Parks Foundation (OSPF), will be matching all donations made to OSPF in June, up to $10,000. The donations will support two OSPF projects - an inclusive playground at Delaware State Park and an accessible kayak launch at Alum Creek State Park.
The Ohio State Parks Foundation is a non-profit fundraising organization working with donors to fund projects at all 75 state parks. Recent projects have included mobility mats, inclusive playgrounds, accessible kayak launches, ADA picnic tables, sensory paths, rescue equipment, and more.
